Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)

This type of anxiety involves a persistent feeling of stress or feeling dread. It is not the same as occasionally worrying about things or experiencing stress due to challenging life events.

Some of the symptoms are:

  • Feeling restless, wound-up, or on edge
  • Difficulty in falling or staying asleep
  • Getting tired easily

  • Dealing with headaches, muscle aches, stomachaches, or unexplained pains

Panic disorder

The overwhelming nature of these panic attacks can significantly disrupt daily life and well-being. 

Social anxiety disorder

Social anxiety disorder involves an intense, persistent fear of being watched and judged by others. For those affected, the fear of social situations can feel so overpowering that it seems beyond their control. This can interfere with everyday activities such as going to work, attending school, or completing daily chores, making normal interactions very challenging. 

Phobia-related disorders

A phobia is an irrational or excessive fear of specific objects or situations. Although it can be realistic to be anxious in some circumstances, people with phobias feel a much stronger fear. This can make it hard for them to go about their daily lives.
